Storytelling & Living History
We offer storytelling presentations that keep audiences of all ages on the edge of their seats.
Because
we recognize the challenges posed by walking tours for some elderly
guests and the fact that some groups cannot fit a 2-hour walking tour
into their schedules, we this offer storytelling, so we bring the tour
to you without the walk.

Storytelling is a great option for luncheon/dinner entertainment, parties, events, schools, and more.
The Pirate program explores the “Golden Age of Piracy” and how it impacted Charles Towne. Eric Lavender brings to life the pirates, who visited our fair shores: Stede
Bonnet, Blackbeard, Jack Rackham, Richard Worley, Charles Vane, and of
course the notorious female pirates, Mary Read and Anne Bonny.

Our Ghost presentation features the stories that make Charleston one of the country’s most haunted cities. From
the mischievous, but harmless, little slave boy, George, and the
notorious murderess Lavinia Fisher to Edgar Allen Poe’s Annabelle Lee
and a headless soldier, Charleston’s ghost tales will, in turn, scare
you, touch you, and even make you laugh. Above all, they will entertain you!
Let us customize a program to meet your entertainment needs or fit your curriculum requirements. We can focus on pirate or ghost stories or both! We can build a program around Charleston, Lowcountry, and/or South Carolina history. You can even specify a time period.
From
the Circle Cup Tennis Tournament and private events to museums,
libraries, and schools, Captain Bob and Eric have entertained thousands
with tales of the pirates, who plundered the Carolinas and of the
spirits said to still haunt the lowcountry.

We donate 5% of the
fee for every event to BirdLove Avian Sanctuary, a parrot
rescue facility and Captain Bob's former home.
