Saturdays at 11am:  The Golden Age of Piracy, a storytelling presentation at the Powder Magazine Museum

Thursday, 12/8, 6pm-7pm:  We are proud to partner with the Old Exchange to present a special program on Blackbeard by award-winning author Kevin Duffus, who wrote The Last Days of Black Beard the Pirate.  Duffus' research calls into question many commonly accepted facts about the infamous pirate including his birthplace.  Duffus contends that there is more proof that Blackbeard was born right here in the Charleston area than in Bristol, England!  The Tavern (East Bay St.) and the Harborview Inn are also sponsors of the program.
